FAQ’S – Frequently Asked Questions & Answers About WoobaBike
How many sounds can WoobaBike play?
The main Woobabike unit comes with 25 internal sounds (which are always available in the unit).
There is a slot for an additional sound card that can be inserted and activated at a push of a button. A button toggles between the internal sound banks and those on the sound card. Sound cards may be purchased separately, and each card comes with 25 additional and unique sounds. One sound card may be inserted and used at a time.
With the 25 internal sounds + any loaded sound card, the WoobaBike unit can have 50 unique sounds ready to play at your fingertips!
How loud is WoobaBike? Can I control the volume?
The Woobabike unit is louder than a standard bicycle bell bike horn… allowing at least 20 feet extra distance protection on various sounds (at full volume). As well, the main horn is positioned at the front of the unit projecting sounds away from the rider.
The unit has a volume control fader, so you may adjust volume levels down or up as the situation requires. For example, if you are approaching an intersection or blind spot with cars that may not see you, a louder car-volume level could increase safety. As well, if you need to grab someone’s attention from far away (a fellow rider that’s gone ahead or doesn’t see you stopping), higher volume can also be helpful.
Is WoobaBike waterproof?
The Woobabike unit is designed to be water resident & splash proof, with a IPX3 rating. Light rain or mist should not harm the unit. However, IT IS NOT 100% WATERPROOF, especially if submerged in liquid. It is advisable to detach in extreme rain conditions
Is WoobaBike detachable?
Good news! You don’t need to worry about leaving the WoobaBike unit on your bike or scooter for fear of theft or weather damage. As well, you can take it with you when you travel, rent bikes or scooters, or need portability. We’ve designed the WoobaBike unit to have 2 quick release points:
- The main base has a handlebar attachment that’s easy-to-fasten and release. No screw drivers needed to attach, just a twist locking device. This is helpful for needing to take the entire unit (e.g. – traveling, moving to another bike or scooter, etc.
- The main (top) unit has an easy click on/off mechanism to attach & detach it from the base. This way, if you need to run into a store, work, school or other spot, and you don’t want to carry around both the base and main unit, you only need to unclip the top smaller & portable unit.

What is the recommended age for using WoobaBike?
Almost all ages will a blast using WoobaBike. Due to the ability to increase the volume levels above normal bicycle bell levels, the approved & recommended age level is ages 10 and older (with adult supervision)
How do I remove or insert a sound card?
The device has an open slot sound card with rubber protection seal (see manual for image). Simply remove the rubber cover over the card slot, insert the card till it clicks in place, then push the cover firmly back into place. To remove the sound card, remove the rubber cover, and push to pop out. Remember to put the rubber cover back in place for water protection.
Will Woobabike fit my on handlebars?
Woobabike is designed to fit and adjust to most standard and enhanced handlebars (19-35 mm). The handlebar attachment is adjustable with an easy tightening wheel and added rubber inset to give the unit a snug fit on smaller ba
How long will the batteries usually last before needing changing?
It depends on use and type of batteries. It takes 3 AAA batteries (sold separately). Alkaline or rechargeable batteries are recommended for continued use and reduced environmental impact. Various popular brands of rechargeable AAA batteries can recharge over 400 times before needing replacements! That’s miles and miles and miles of WoobaBike fun on a single set of batteries.
- DO NOT mix old and new batteries.
- DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- Change old batteries to prevent internal corrosion or damage.
- Remove batters if storing unit.
- Dispose of batteries safely
How does the Extension Chord and Easy Access Thumb Button Work?
The extension chord plugs and unplugs into the main WoobaBike unit. The button that is connected to the extension chord should be mounted (strapped around the handlebar) directly next to either hand so that the rider’s thumb can easily push the button without lifting his or her hand off the handlebar.
The button will play whatever sound was last played on the main WoobaBike unit.
This added button provides EXTRA CONVENIENCE & SAFETY, especially for less experienced riders, those with balance or distraction issues, or those who desire quick instant access for emergency alert situations.
